Jim Schumacher, MS, CCC-SLP
Mr. Schumacher is a Speech-Language Pathologist at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. He has served Veterans with communication and swallowing disorders at multiple VA facilities for over 37 years. His areas of interest include neurologic communication disorders resulting from stroke, traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases, with particular interests in aphasia and apraxia of speech. Jim is the clinical lead for the Program for Intensive Residential Aphasia Treatment and Education (PIRATE) and has served as a regular clinical staff member for this program since 2010.
