Nina Singh, MD
Nina Singh, M.D. is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases, and Chief of Transplant Infectious Diseases at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
Her research interests include viral infections (particularly cytomegalovirus, human herpesvirus-6), and opportunistic mycoses including cryptococcosis and invasive aspergillosis in solid organ transplant recipients. Her work relevant to these infections includes epidemiologic investigations to define the spectrum and evolution of disease process, mechanistic studies to understand their biological basis, role of immune reconstitution in disease expression, and clinical trials for optimizing the management.
Dr. Singh has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications related to these and other infectious complications in transplantation.
Pittsburgh Magazine named Dr. Singh as one of the “Best Doctors of 2012”. Her research interests include CMV and beta herpes virus infections in transplant recipients .Opportunistic mycoses in solid organ transplant recipients.
